Day 17 - Day of Rest

Greetings....
here are pictures of the Big Day. ~

Wow....the "wig' day was almost 3 hrs. long. First, Jo cut my hair...short...and then fit the wig on me. It comes in very long and hair all the way around. Then she cut the bangs in and worked on the sides and back. Interesting process. Then while we snacked and drank juice, Jo put some bend in the hair and processed it with low heat. Then we had another fitting....and finally could go home. Julie(daughter) came home from Illinois with Luke(grandchild), and Jenny(daughter) & Anna(grandchild) were here and my mom and my friend Kay and of course Jeff. They were my cheerleaders at Kruegers Hair Restoration Salon!

I thank the many people who wished me well and said they were praying at 10:00am.....I felt your blessings.

I went to the cancer center as I had to have my blood drawn for my white and red cell counts. The white was 6.8 (normal is 4 to 11) and the red was 13, which is real good. The nurse said my white blood cell count was probably above 4 because I had the Neulasta shot (to boost the immune system). I was hoping not to have another one this week, but I guess I was wrong. She said it is a must. Dang...and that is what makes me so sick and in pain.

After I did get home, I was pooped out! Took a nap. Went to the Elks Club for Friday Fish Fry and it was awesome and I was HUNGRY! Wore the new wig! Felt just fine.

Today, Sunday...feel a little funky....like I am just not up to snuff. Mouth sores are coming back, one on my lip...ouch. Feeling a little more tired and not a lot of energy. Maybe it's just a down day. Tomorrow will be better.
Love, Janet
