Back in ICU

From Joe: Well, it turns out Mom did have a high fever and didn't tell anybody but the blog! I don't know all of the details yet, but she was admitted back into ICU some time this afternoon. She still has a fever and is back down to 0 white blood cell count with no neutrophils.

She is back to getting Neupogen injections to boost her immune system and her cancer doctor has said that she will have to get them every time she gets chemo in the future - her body just reacts differently to the chemo than most.

They are treating her specifically for a bacteria infection (unlike last time where they went after fungal infections as well). Her blood pressure is actually a little high this time, 150/90. At this time, we don't know whether or not she's become septic.

The intensivist is hoping to see her stabalize within 2 or so hours, which puts us at 6-7pm. I hope to be able to update the blog with some good results shortly.

As always, please keep those prayers for Mom and her medical staff coming!
