6 days in the hospital...what can I say? First 5 days were for the low white count, I finally reach that point and then my creatine (kidney) level is too high. So then I have to stay there to see a kidney specialist. He let me go and I have to make an appointment with him for next week.
Okay, so I am ready to go, I am dressed, Kay is on her way to pick me up. We are waiting for the doctor who is on call for Dr. Litman to come in. It gets to be noon and my patience is wearing very thin. Well, the doctor on call didn't know I was there I guess, as they called him and he was down in ER and would be there until late afternoon! So, I called Dr. Litman's cell phone....(sorry, it was his day off) but things are really messed up and I can't get released! He made the necessary calls and 10 minutes later the nurse brought papers for me to sign and I was able to go. Lucky I had Dr. Litman"s cell phone number!~ or I'd still be there.
Any way, my white cell count has already dropped to 4.2, so I am seeing Dr. Lambert at the Cancer Clinic tomorrow. I am back to not going places, or crowds et. I can't even go to my godchild's birthday party this afternoon which really makes me sad.
I have spent 18 days in the hospital in the past few months - pretty soon I can call it my second home!
Oh, by the way the whole week I was in the hospital it was in the 70's, today and for the next week it supposed to be in the 40's! Where is the justice?
