Day 176 ~ Another July 4th Celbration

The neighbors in back of us, Steve & Maureen, had a family celebration at their home today. They had a parade with the kids, which got my attention to go over there and take some pictures. First I witnessed one of the little boys sing patriotic songs all by himself. (the 2nd picture) Then they had their little parade with flags and all. Very nice.

Then I had my picture taken with Ty, Steve &
Maureen's grandson who has cancer and is going through treatments. His mom said he is doing well but it is still a long haul. (1st & 4th picture)
Then Maureen sent me home with a traditional 4
th of July picnic supper. It included chicken, potato salad, cut up fruit & brownies!!! YUM.
Jeff & I did some planting today and a couple of other yard things and then went in to the pool for a nap. Yep...got sunburned! My own fault! But it was nice, although the water temp wasn't as warm as we would have liked. The weather was perfect this weekend.
Hugs, Janet
