Day 237 ~ First day of diaconite training

The above pictures are of our entire class of 16 men and their wives. Dale & Lucy and Janet & Jeff are the couples from Holy Family Parish in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
Whoosh....we survived the first day of diaconate training. (this is preparation to become a Deacon in the Catholic church). We left Fond du Lac at 6:00 am and didn't get home until 7:10 pm. You can see it was a long day. The day started out with a prayer service in the chapel, classes, Mass, lunch, more classes, evening prayer service, then HOME. We ladies were very surprised as we got homework too! Yikes!

Jeff is real sore today from the surgical procedure he had done on Thursday....he said he feels like he was run over by a truck. Guess he will be resting today. I, on the other hand have a million and one things to do around here before my sinus surgery on Tuesday. No rest for the wicked!

Oh, by the way "HAPPY GRANDPARENTS DAY" to all of you who are grandparents! We are getting to take care of out granddaughter Anna today. I am sure we will here from our little grandson Luke via phone. All he can say is "HI".

Love & Prayers......Janet & Jeff

Surround Me With Your Light

Surround me with your light, Jesus, and penetrate the very depths of my being with that light. Let there remain no areas of darkness in me or in my family members, but transform our whole being with the healing light of your love. Open me completely to receive your love, Jesus. Thank you for being our family healer and my personal healer.
