Well, as you can see I am out of the hospital! Had to stay overnight because of oxygen levels and bleeding. Doctors don't pack the nose anymore after this surgery, they put some kind of disove-able gel up in the nose. After the 3rd day, today, the bleeding has somewhat stopped so I am not wearing the lovely nose mitten! I have to sleep sitting up for the next 10 days. It is a bit claustrophobic only being able to breathe through my mouth. Plus my mouth dries out instantly! ~ which means drinking more water and going potty a lot more! He fixed the deviated septum and the sinus cavities, which he said should be a very thin membrane and of course mine were thick. surgery was about 1 1/2 hrs. and the drugs were way good! I didn't have the forehead sinus cavity at all, but he did the cheeks, eyes and the base of the brain. It should make my breathing better after I am all healed.
Jeff on the other hand is still suffering with his kidney stones. The doctor has put him on Percoset for the pain, but he is still working and it is difficult to concentrate. He did take off part of yesterday and last night so he could rest. Looks like surgery is in the wings for him again.
Otherwise all is well in the Hopper household. It is cloudy and supposed to rain today, but the temps for the rest of the week are to be 70-ish and sunny, which is great fall weather. I am not sup[posed to drive for another week, so guess I'll be staying home. Maybe it will be a good time to clean my computer room up! LOL
Love to All.....Janet
The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark.
~ Michelangelo quotes
The Lord knows our bearing capacity, both as to coping and to comprehending, and He will not give us more to bear than we can manage at the moment, though to us it may seem otherwise. Just as no temptations will come to us from which we cannot escape or which we cannot bear, we will not be given more trials than we can sustain.
