Day 281 & 282 ~ The geese are gathering....

Snapped this picture yesterday of the geese from my front door. They get really noisy at times and if I am outside it hard to hear what someone else is saying. Gotta love 'em though! ~ It certainly is entertainment. I have a million phone calls to make again....insurance, doctor, etc. It never ends! We also have to remember to get our flu and pneumonia shots. I really have to call the sleep doctor as I cannot even get through writing this blog without falling asleep 6 -8 times in 15 minutes!! It does not matter what time of day it either. Strange! The little 7 yr. old boy with Lymphoma, Michael Sparkman died last night around 6 pm. He was diagnosed in April after seeing a doctor for a pain in his knee. His caringbridge site is: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/michaelsparkman I followed his ordeal via the Internet site. God needed another angel.
Love & Prayers,
Janet

“I believe in the sun even when it isn’t shining. I believe in love even when I am alone. I believe in God even when He is silent.”Words found scrawled on a cellar wall where Jewish people hid in World War II

We will all experience times when we wonder where God is, why He isn’t making Himself known. We may face situations when it seems like He has no concern and we just don’t feel His leading or His comfort. I think of the people who wrote the above … how their situation seemed hopeless and yet they chose to believe that God would come and help them. Faced in a life and death situation, in hiding from the murdering hands of Hitler’s Nazi forces, they lived beneath the earth as they attempted to escape persecution … they knew that God would not desert them.

God tells us today that He will never leave us … that he will never forsake us. We need to pray our way through those silent times, knowing that He is still in control and that His love for us shines like the sun above. Father God, sometimes we face those troubling times in our life when You remain silent. Help us to realize that You’re always with us … You made a promise to us that You always would be with us. Hear our prayers today and know that we need Your love and Your comfort. You are the Anchor … even in silence. (sent to us from a friend JW)
