Day 44 ~ Yes, I am Alive

Oh my....I feel like Sleeping Beauty....just can't get enough sleep! I spent Friday sleeping most of the day and night, only getting up for short periods at a time. Saturday Anna was here in the morning and I laid on the couch and she played doctor with her stuffed elephant Elly. It was a real perk for me for her to be here. Jenny did a little cleaning for me and then when they left....I slept the rest of the day.

Friend Kay brought some baked chicken and beans and made me eat Friday night, I didn't eat much but I did eat it. Neighbor Janice brought us some pizza's and I was able to eat a whole piece, which is good for me. Jeff was in his glory as there was more for him. Last night we had pork sandwiches provided by friends Mark & Jeanne. Again, I ate a whole sandwich. This morning I had an English muffin half with p-nut butter and that tasted good......so.........maybe my appetite is coming back a little. It is so hard to eat when you cannot taste or just plain are not hungry but that seems to be changing now for the good.

Jeff was a reader at 8am church this morning and then went to the nursing home to do 2 communion services and he just called and he said it is so beautiful outside. The sun is shining and there is not a cloud in the sky. He wants me to get ready and he wants to take me for a ride.....anywhere....out in the country just to enjoy the scenery and beautiful day. It will be my first time out of the house in 17 days!! (other than the 2 doctor visits) Maybe this will boost my spirits.
