Days 246,247,248 ~ GrandKids & Kidney Stones!

Oh my...the last few days were so hectic that I couldn't even post until now! We got a call from our daughter in Illinois that she needed us to babysit Luke because their daycare was flooded due to the 8" of rain that they received this past weekend. So...Julie took a sick day from work on Monday and drove Luke here to Wisconsin. We were to have him until Friday night. As Julie was driving back to Illinois Monday evening, she called her daycare lady and was informed that the daycare would be up and running Tuesday morning. Now, they have to pay the daycare fees for the week even though Luke would not be there. IN THE MEANTIME......Jeff is suffering big time with the kidney stones again (even though the stint is in). We pack up Luke and spend 3 hrs. at the hospital while Jeff gets the KUB x-ray and sees the doctor on Tuesday. The stone moved back down and is stuck in the ureter. SO.....the doctor schedules him for surgery today (Wednesday) to go in and remove the stone and the leftover ones in the kidney and replace the stint with a new one.

Who can watch LUKE? Tuesday evening we take Luke as far as Milwaukee and Julie meets us there at 7PM.
OMG...poor Julie, with the gas prices and all the driving....6 hrs. round trip....times two...BUT, it is what it is and we move on.

We enjoyed the 32 hrs. we had with Luke......and Anna LOVED seeing him. She is a little mother hen. Luke turns one this Saturday and is having a
CUB's theme party. So, we will get to see him again. He squeals with joy when he sees us and of course that just plain warms our hearts. We did get lots of hugs and kisses from him too...so, it was worth every minute he was here.

It is almost 6am, Jeff is at a men's bible study at our church right now.(it started at 5am) I have a doctor appointment at 9:30 to get the stitches out of my nose from the surgery and then I have a 11:00 doctor appointment and then we admit Jeff to the hospital at noon for his surgery. While he is in recovery.....I think maybe then I can finally take a little rest. I have not been able to sleep at night as way too many things are on my mind right now.

Sorry to have babbled.........

The weather is great and beautiful....take advantage of it....stop to smell the flowers!

God's Blessing to all.....Love, Janet
